Flipping Houses
Have you seen the shows where they go into an old home and flip it into a refurbished masterpiece? Do you live near a city where pockets of the community are being flipped upside down? Have you heard of the word gentrification?
To gentrify an area of town means that you go into a broken down situation and turn it upscale. What was once run down is now the place people go to eat, shop, and play. Some people even advertise that they will buy old homes and immediately after the purchase they sell the home for more than they bought it for to a larger company that will renovate it. Sometimes this buying and selling happens all in one day! For this flipping and gentrification to occur, one thing must be present. Vision!
Now, forget about homes and neighborhoods for a moment. What about souls? What if we realized that there were thousands of souls in our community that were tired, old, broken down, and seemingly condemned. How could we spiritually gentrify the soul? What if we had the vision to see people with what seemed to be a wounded soul and we helped them to make it new. Then, imagine if a whole community of souls were flipped and renovated collectivity. It could become the place that people go to find spiritual rest. One could go there to eat, shop, and play. A place to taste a little bite of heaven, to purchase the new look of freedom, and have fun without the guilt hangover in the morning.
How about we envision spiritual gentrification of our community. Flipping homes is great. What about the soul? Do you want to help? Let us know.
